The Brothel Laws, while they may be on the books as they are at my University town, are completely unenforceable. While many sororities site this as the reason for not having a house it isn’t. Most National Fraternity and Sororities require there house be owned by the Alumni Chapter (STG, SSS, AST, TKE for example) and many Alumni Chapters simply don’t have the resources.

I attend one of the Big 10 Universities that begin with an M (GO BLUE) and the Halloween one was one of the only one’s on this list I HADN’T heard.

As far as the bus thing goes on our campus it’s only the blue busses (there’s another company that runs busses, and those don’t count) and I’ve also heard that you only get all As if your roommate commits suicide.

The brothel one is still partially present on the campus of the University of Colorado – Boulder and the sinking library holds true for the Harvard library at Harvard University

The Brothel Law is a half truth. A law did exist so many older campuses only let the sororities live in the dorms. Years later the properties around the biggest colleges are bought out by frats and business and buying a house isn’t economically feasible. At least that’s the case here at PSU.
